Secret Weapon (Star Wars: Last of the Jedi, Book 7)
Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2007-08-13 Summary: hey jude great job! ... i disagree with that other reviewer who said timothy zahn is the best with jude watson.i hate the timothy zahn books.and that was when us star wars fans were starving for something new to read about star wars and heir to the empire came out,i bought it like many others wanting something new to read.and i was greatly dissapointed and his 2nd and 3rd book of that trilogy didnt get any better so i stopped buying his books.i guess i been spoiled by the star wars books i read growing up by writers like the great brian daley ...more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2007-03-26 Summary: Watson, Watson Watson, Watson!!!!!!!!! ... Aside from Timothy Zahn I don't know if there is a better Star Wars author out today. Secret Weapon is yet another fantastic addition to the LOTJ series. However since it is a short book I don't want to talk much about the plot and give anything away. I will just say if there is any way for you to buy and read this book do it and do it now. This series when completed should be released as an anthology in my humble opinion. ...more
[3] Rating: 5 Date: 2007-04-03 Summary: Best of the best!! ... I've been a reader from day one and by far this is the most intense part of the series. I loved that there was a list of characters. I almost forgot some of the ones from the beginning and it was good to get familiar with them again. As I was reading, I felt the momentum of the story pick up towards the middle and then it just sky rocketed!! So much so, I left imprints of my fingers on the front and back cover! I don't want to give any of the storyline away but, I'll just say that I had to read some parts over again ...more
Editorial Reviews ... Product Description | Ferus Olin is playing a dangerous game. The Emperor wants to contain him. Darth Vader wants to destroy him. And the fate of the galaxy might hang in the balance....more
The Captive Temple (Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice, Book 7)
Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-06-26 Summary: Is Jude Watson the star? ... Honestly, before venturing into the jedi apprentice series not much was known to me about Jude Watson, but man does she know how to write a book. I also like the dark side of the past few books where people are starting to be killed off. Not that I wasn't truly expecting it, but because it is intended for a younger audience...anyway another marvelous read, once again! ...more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2003-08-29 Summary: Jude Watson does it again! ... Its definetly the best in the series, and I would have preferred it to end here. The ending seemed as though it was FORCED to hint about the sequal. I have a feeling that Jude Watson didnt want to continue writing it, and then had to. Its a great book, to bad about the ending.... ...more
[3] Rating: 4 Date: 2002-10-12 Summary: Return to the Fantastic ... I keep thinking to myself that Jude Watson is no J.K. Rowling, but now I'm beginning to think that I'm deluding myself. The Captive Temple is, as we've come to expect from Watson, a fantastic read. Most remarkable of all is the way Watson is able to depict Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, twelve years before The Phantom Menace. What is masterful is that these both are and are not the characters we saw in the movie; they appear exactly as they must have been in their younger days. Remarkable. The Captive Temple is also an improvement ...more
Editorial Reviews ... Product Description | When someone tries to kill Yoda, it's up to young Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn to investigate. Everyone in the Jedi Temple is a suspect - and the true culprit may be the darkest rival of all....more
The Dangerous Rescue (Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice, Book 13)
Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2002-08-21 Summary: The conclusion to an exciting story arc! ... Obi-Wan Kenobi, with the help of Jedi Master Adi Gallia and her apprentice Siri, rescue Qui-Gon Jinn from the clutches from Jenna Zan Arbor, but fail to stop her escape. The evil scientist Jenna Zan Arbor will stop at nothing as she tries to discover the secrets of the Force... then use them for her own power. When escaping, she takes along with her one Jedi who remains her captive. Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Adi Gallia, and Siri must rescue the Jedi and at the same time rescue a planet from her evil clutches. "The Dangerous ...more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2001-11-25 Summary: The Dangerous Rescue ... I liked this book because I really wanted to know the sequel to #12. I also liked it because unlike some of the other Jedi Apprentice books, it started exactly where book #12 left off. Of all the Jedi Apprentice books, it is one of my top five favorites. ...more
[3] Rating: 4 Date: 2004-11-20 Summary: Same old, same old ... Can Jude Watson please restore this series to its former glory? I mean, books 1-8 were instant classics. The ninth book was the first weak book in the series. Tenth, bad, eleventh, actually, the eleventh was good, twelve, pretty good. And then there's thirteen. It seems that this book is almost identical to the last two. I mean, can we please get away from Jenna Zan Arbor, Ona Nobis? But I didn't give it **** for nothing. It had some good qualities. First off, Cholly, Weez, and Tup. Aw, man, I love those guys! And ...more

Anakin's Quest (Star Wars: Junior Jedi Knights, Book 4)
Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 4 Date: 2000-11-22 Summary: Great book, but... ... I thought this was a good book, but not nearly as well written as the first trilogy. One thing I liked about it was that it addressed Anakin's fear of turning to the dark side, though wasn't that taken care of in the previous book? When I first read this, at age eleven, I really could have cared less about Uldir, and considered him an irritating fifth wheel. But now that I myself am a teenager,(about to turn fifteen) I understand his problems better and sympathize more with his character. This book is best for children ...more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2000-02-26 Summary: From Selah--absolutely excellent! ... This book is the best in the series. Anakin has some spell-binding dreams that you'll love. In this book, Anakin goes to Dagobah with Tahiri and Ikrit. When he gets there, he and Tahiri revisit the place where Luke was trained by Yoda. And what they see there is truly amazing . . . ...more
[3] Rating: 5 Date: 1998-07-17 Summary: I thought that Anakin's Quest was an excellent book. ... I liked this book because it concentrated only on what Anakin did instead of switching to what Han did, or Luke did, and the whole book was about him. It was easy to read and I hope that they write a lot more books in this series. ...more
Editorial Reviews ... Product Description | Traveling to Dagobah after experiencing recurring nightmares, young Jedi-in-training Anakin is accompanied by R2-D2 and other companions on a trip to a secret cave in the swamps, where he faces a test of his strength with the Force. Original....more
Promises (Star Wars: Junior Jedi Knights, Book 3)
Customer Reviews [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2000-11-22 Summary: Great Book!! ... I thought this was a great book, partly because it at last told about Tahiri's past, which was something I'd been wondering about for a while, but also because it told about Anakin and Tahiri's friendship and how they work together through the force. This was not my absolute favorite in the series (that loses by a hair to Lyric's World) but it was definitly the best written. This book, and the rest of the series is best for children twelve and under, though anyone could read it and enjoy it. I read these books aloud ...more
[2] Rating: 4 Date: 2000-02-26 Summary: This is worth buying . . . ... "Promises" is about Tahiri's long forgotten past. It's worth buying (hint, hint). I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because in the previous books, Tahiri seems like a happy, normal girl who talks a lot. There is no suspense--or anything at all--that makes the reader want to know anything personal about her. In the beginning, the author should have let Tahiri have lines like,"I wonder what happened to my parents," or something like that. Because of the lack of suspense on this subject in the previous books, the author ...more
[3] Rating: 5 Date: 1998-10-29 Summary: Fun and Full of action ... This book is very interesting. I like it because Anakin and Tahiri are stuck in the middle of the desert. ...more
Editorial Reviews ... Product Description | With the help of her friend Anakin Solo, Tahiri, a young girl raised by the treacherous Tusken Raiders, sets out to prove herself worthy and to discover the secret of her past and mystery of her real parents. Original....more
